Something different for you to think about the next time you visit your massage therapy...
Some people may struggle (like myself) to relax properly when receiving a massage, this stops you from attaining the maximum benefit from said massage. If this is the case then carry on reading below as it may help you get around this little dilemma in the future and allow you to get maximum enjoyment and benefit from your future massages.
Everyone has muscles that are penetrable, however, penetrability differs from person to person. A 'forcefield' is created by some hardened muscles at the back, thus, it becomes difficult to penetrate the layers beneath. This 'forcefield', though, is both physical and psychological. If you interpret it psychologically, it represents impermeability or a distrust to others. This can be a protective, helpful shield against threatening situations. If you can become aware of this and learn to control your body, help it relax, then you will notice a difference in your massage benefit. Massage can only prove to be psychologically therapeutic if you are completely engrossed in the reality of your body.
